World Food Day - Sustainable Food Systems

The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations was founded in 1945. World Food Day is held to raise awareness of the suffering caused by hunger and obesity, of the importance of nutritious diets and food security, and of the need for more sustainable food systems. In this classroom and event, students will be encouraged to think within the context of issues surrounding our global food systems. Students will practice comparing potential solutions and share these ideas with students from around the world. This conference will focus on SDG's - GOAL 2: Zero Hunger; GOAL 3: Good Health and Well-being; GOAL 4: Quality Education GOAL 12: Responsible Consumption and Production; and, GOAL 15: Life on Land. Grades 7-12.
