World AIDS Day

Challenge indifference, commemorate victims, celebrate progress and commit to action as part of this powerful video conference. Join students in schools around the world as we build awareness and action around HIV/AIDS ahead of World AIDS Day on December 1st. Students will have an opportunity to join a global network as they learn about the stigma, stereotypes, and misinformation that surrounds HIV/AIDS while exploring the different ways they can become personally involved in the fight against this pandemic. In the week leading up to the conference, students will be able to post their own thoughts and research on an interactive online portal while being mentored by researchers and graduate students from around the world. This event is free but participants are strongly encouraged to make a donation to the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GYCA) (suggested amount: $100).
