April 22: Earth Day 2021 - #Decarbonize COP26 Global Youth Project Launch

Apr 22, 2021 - 12:00 PM-13:00 PM (Eastern)

Ahead of the 2021 UN Climate Change Conference (COP 26), #Decarbonize: #Decolonize brings together K-12 students and educators, from over 45 countries, across the Global North and South, in eight months of ongoing dialogue on climate resilience, climate mitigation, and climate justice. Using Talanoa - an Indigenous dialogue-model for building trust and advancing contextualized knowledge through empathy and understanding - participating students gain knowledge, build skills, and share their lived-experiences on a purpose-built online classroom community. Through blog posts, discussion boards, art submissions, podcasts, and live, interactive video conference, they respond to a series of common, collaborative, project-based activities that promote whole-school local and global climate action and advocacy. Join us for the 2021 launch of this amazing youth project!
